As for the new layout. It’s nice, but I’m not sure if the font size is too small. Perhaps you could try enlarging the font size of the main text. Not sure, it’s just an opinion. =) Or perhaps the background is too bright, I don’t know. Make an enquiry with your regular readers =)

It’s not flawless, the blog titles in particular are very small on the front page. And I can’t change much without paying a lot of money to WordPress. But overall, I like it.
