The late Fr John Hardin S.J. , one of the finest and holiest teachers of the 20th century, has an unpublished manuscript on “The teaching and theology of Miracles” based on several courses he taught on the topic. Please find it among his archives and publish it– Fr Hardon himself was the agent of some miracles, and also a good writer.

Wow, so excited to hear of your work. We had a Jesus Movement church in Isla Vista in Santa Barbara, Ca 1969-1981. Awesome years — flooded with Christ, baptizing in the ocean, lost in His Presence in morning meetings in 2’s before going to work.. Gene Edwards was our leader. Wrote Tale of 3 Kings, Divine Romance –my fav. Now I am in Elevate Church (Elevate Christ) elevatecc.com in Hiram,GA (near Atlanta, GA. Church is on fire, just like we were in Isla Vista. We had a man cured of cancer 9/7. We believed — that incomparably great power to us who believe, it is the power that God exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated HIM far above all……HALLELUJAH. We are ordinary people, full of Christ YAY. We have a band that plays — not too loud, but so good. Some of us like to raise our hands and sway and shout praises. We just sang –Holy Spirit U R welcome here yesterday — just like you have it here on your site!! I am so excited to hear that New Generation is working there. I never heard of them, but they sound great. In 1976 in Isla Vista, we sent saints (Paul called his people saints) to Europe to live for 2 years — to explore, share the gospel. they got jobs as teachers. Then the summer of 1978, we had them all come home and bring saints from there countries.. It was so awesome, they brought Prem PreDam from Nepal and 2 of his young people. So many people came from Thailand, Germany, Hawaii, it was a glorious confernece. Gene Edwards had read in a book that Prem was the modern day Paul and he told Barb and Dave to go find him. They got jobs as teachers in Nepal. But what I wanted to tell U was that while our saints were overseas, one of our children was killed in Angleholm and Gene said she (Amy Snekvik) was a seed planted that would grow into miracles. So is anything happening in Angelholm? Also in our church in Isla Vista in Santa Barbara CA, different brothers gave us a report on the AnaBaptists, Moravians, Waldensians, so many that I forget. It was so awesome. and when they went overseas in 1976, Mike went to E. Berlin and met the Moravians. He said it was awesome — the meeting of the saints was so good — full of the Lord. The Moravians, because of their faith, have not so good jobs, not much education for the kids, and I think — no college.
Our Elevate church has a pastor and a stage for the band. But every word from his lips is LIFE. WOW And we meet in small groups ( I love them) and men’s groups and women’s groups. I LOVE IT> And I am used to Isla Vista where we stood in circles and had our arms around each other and sang and shouted praises and we would share and Gene would talk sometimes. We sat on the floor (had a few couches) and he was there sitting in a chair at our level — we met in a living room we made out of 2 garages –there were 120 of us. Isla Vista is a college community around UCSB full of apartments.
I am writing The Story of the Church in Isla Vista. It will have glorious adventures of Jesus and his people. We ended in 1981. An Isla Vista church (be careful when googling as there are 2 others with that name) is now there that started in 2001 with Jason Lomelino. He has written 4 books, one is Jesus Burgers. It went nationwide, with people wanting to start groups like his. He has been on TV three times, invited to tell about his books. He cooks hamburgers, students at UCSB smell them, come for dinner and stay for the meeting. Great idea,right?
