Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Luke 11:11-13

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks you for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

What is better than everything you’ve ever wanted altogether? The Holy Spirit.

If you struggle with giving up your own desires and wishes, let me tell you something: You don’t have to. Like, at all!
But that, which you have to give up is the evaluating of fulfilling the desires that serve your own good and those which you know in your heart will serve the Kingdom of God. The latter own is top priority!
I used to think that I need to give up on things, need to be more humble and modest, to serve God properly – when in fact I already have become more like that through my new heart of flesh!
Galatians 5:22-24
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.”
There is no need to force yourself to cut down on your needs and passions and desires. Just ask yourself: Am I putting the Kingdom of God to be my top priority?

“… all these things will be given to you as well.”, though there may happen to be a shift of the things that you want.

Nevertheless, God will provide and care for you. And not merely in a “stay alive to spread the Gospel, kid”-way, but in a “I love you so much, my child, I’m going to be most generous towards you, so that you’re even going to look better than ‘Solomon in all his splendor'”-way.

Imagine a life free from worries. Yes, it’s gonna be exactly like that.
