It’s time for Pentecostal and charismatic leaders that are critical to Trump’s bizarre presidency to speak up.
We call upon all sorts of leaders – pastors, scholars, CEOs, politicians, NGO representatives and others – that are part of the Pentecostal-charismatic movement to sign our open letter to president Donald Trump. The letter will be sent to the White House on the anniversary of his inauguration, January 20th.
This is not a partisan letter. Regardless of our political affiliation and opinions, we feel that Trump has taken politics to such extremes that Christians on both the right and the left of the political spectrum together should say “No!”.
The areas we at Pentecostals & Charismatics for Peace & Justice have identified as important to speak up about are:
- The demonization of immigrants and minorities;
- the reckless nuclear war rhetoric;
- the loosening of environmental protection;
- the belittling and abuse of women;
- the disrespect of indigenous people;
- the inequalities between rich and poor; and
- the dishonesty and lying.
To read the letter and sign it, go here.
Together, we and the Holy Spirit can change the world.

This something very unique and helpful for me!! Thanks a lot. Everything explained in so simple way.
Brother, it’s sad that you are so gaslit re: Trump, unfortunately this tend to be the case with European believers that are both very ignorant of the American political context and only exposed to left-liberal media. All of your listed points of contentions against Trump are incorrect (except the changing of environmental standards). Most Christians (Charismatics at least) around the world have discerned that Trump was placed in office by God. Cheers brother.
Hello Richard!
So you mean that it’s incorrect that Trump demonizes immigrants (“they’re rapists”, “ban Muslims”), has used reckless nuclear war rhetoric (“destroy North Korea”, “fire and fury like the world has never seen”), belittles women (“fat pig”, “grab her by the pussy”, “she’s a seven”), disrespects indigenous people (“Pocahontas”), promotes inequality between rich and poor (the Republican tax reform) and lies (“biggest crowd ever”, “I never asked God for forgiveness”, “I never supported the Iraq war”, “3 million illegal voters”, “I never said ‘grab her by the pussy'” etc).
Trump has said all the above. And while it might be possible that the media you’re following have failed to report it, I also think you have a bias when listening to Trump, so even though he clearly is immoral you brush it off as “incorrect”. That’s scary. I don’t think you would have been a Trump supporter three years ago. The hearts of American Christians are easily misguided. I hope you will be able to gain more discernment.
Have a happy Easter!
With all that said, Trump is pro Israel and pro life. I hope you’re praying for him.
There are drug cartels at the border; many illegal immigrants have come to the USA and committed murder. That’s a fact.
No Trump is not perfect. But he is who we have. Keep praying.
