As I’ve written before, evangelical pastor John MacArthur has recently organized a conference called “Strange Fire” and will publish a book by the same name, where he argues that the majority of the charismatic movement is a crazy, heretic, demonic mess. As I’ve gone through what MacArthur said at the conference I’ve realized that the event really lives up to its name. Here are the top seven strange Strange Fire statements!

Very good response. I grew up traditional Catholic and was taught cessation. I gave my life to Christ in my mid-20s and earnastly began to seek Him. If we approach Scripture honestly and are willing to drop our theological baggage, there is no way one can remain a cessationist. Are there “extremes” within the movement – yes, of course. Aren’t there always, within any movement?
Amen to that, Aaron!
Amen!!!! The same here… grew up knowing that if the bible were true, and God was real.. then everything the bible taught had to be just as relevant today… everything, including signs, wonders, and miracles.
Micael,
Excellent video, both truthful and entertaining. Well done.
Thank you so much!

This is so childish done of you. Disagreements are fine but behaving this way cerntainly aint the right path nor the way of the gospel.
if you wanna rebeuke an old man do it as you would have done to your father with all respect (1 Tim 5:1) and in all gentleness (Gal 6:1)
Could you explain what’s disrespectful with this video? The humor? Honestly, I think it’d been more disrespectful of me if I had called MacArthur a crazy, demonized, non-Christian heretic. Which he indirectly has called me 🙂
Blessings!
He makes it very clear that he dont mean everyone : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0_ydAgb9mM#t=45
I know, but he clearly states that he thinks that the majority aren’t Christians, that all are heretics since we don’t believe in cessationism, and I clearly belong to the “Kundalini” group which he thinks is demonic.
Great job! Great sense of humor, too!!
